The new Battery Regulation (Rugulation EU 2023/1542) mandates stringent standards for sustainability, safety, and responsibility, aiming to reduce environmental impact and enhance innovation across the EU to achieve Europe’s green development goals.
Compliance with EN50604 Certification Standards
At the exhibition, Joycube showcased 36V and 48V eBike battery solutions, fully compliant with EN50604 standards. These batteries passed rigorous tests including overcharge protection, deep discharge protection, compression, and extreme temperature impact tests. Additionally, they underwent factory audits and production monitoring required for European exports. By adhering to EN50604, Joycube delivers high-quality batteries and plans to offer detailed product information via battery passports, aiding users and regulators in managing environmental footprints to promote sustainability.
Proactive Carbon Footprint Management
Joycube supports carbon footprint data management and ESG information disclosure, excelling in:
-Laboratory Certification: Certified by TÜV Rheinland, TÜV SÜD, and Dekra, Joycube's testing center has become a witnessed laboratory for EN50604 and Dekra energy storage standards. This demonstrates its advanced expertise in product management and quality control.
-Product Certification: With certifications like EN50604, ISO13849, UL1998, and UL2271, Joycube ensures its products meet global safety and reliability standards, offering high-quality LEV battery solutions.
-ESG Certification: Achieved ISO14067, ISO14064, and BSCI certifications, showcasing leadership in environmental protection and social responsibility.
Innovations in eBike Battery Charging and Discharging
Joycube introduced innovations in charging and discharging with a PD module supporting bidirectional charging. Batteries equipped with PD3.1 modules not only support fast charging with PD3.1 adapters but also charge all portable devices with TYPE-C interfaces.
Additionally, batteries can discharge externally through the PD module’s TYPE-C interface, supporting up to 75W (customizable). This module can be external or integrated, helping to achieve carbon neutrality, reduce electronic waste, and unify charger use, enhancing product versatility, sustainability, and efficiency.
